Power cuts and fuel shortages in Crimea after strikes Ukraine Brief TVP WORLD
Ukrainian forces have launched a wave of attacks against occupied Crimea over the last day, targeting the Kerch Power Plant. Multiple reports have suggested that up to 50% of the peninsula has lost power, while the sale of gasoline to civilians in Crimea has been indefinitely suspended since Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Kremlin has signalled that Russia is ready to resume peace talks from where they left off at any time, referencing the 2022 Istanbul negotiations.
President Zelenskyy will not travel to this years Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk, beginning Thursday, with Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko set to travel in his place. This comes amid a growing diplomatic row between the Ukrainian and Polish presidents.
To discuss this and more, Ukraine Briefs host Ashim Kumar is joined by Peter Dickinson, Ukraine Alert Editor at the Atlantic Council.
