Goodbye June

I watched this on Netflix last night. The topic is sad but the acting is out of this world. Helen Mirren astounded me. Kate Winslet is in it and directed it, I believe her son wrote it. Toni Collette is also a character, literally! There's another sister who was great but I don't know who she is, the dad is a recognizable character actor and he too was great.
I highly recommend this poignant, delightful movie.

(172,578 posts)Andrea Riseborough was terrific, as was Timothy Spall, who played the dad.
I am a big fan of Kate Winslet so think she's wonderful in everything she does.

(14,021 posts)I watched Goodbye June last night on Netflix. Excellent cast and Kate Winslet's first directing (her son wrote it.) Even though it deals w passing, it was surprisingly up beat. Family issues revealed. Honesty revealing itself under the pressure of a hard diagnosis.
Just passing along!
