(37,390 posts)Friday is recycling pickup day & the wind blew the bin over. A plastic bag danced & swirled in front of the living room window for at least an hour to the cats fascination.
This winter has been fierce

(42,028 posts)blew a lot of dead tree branches from my soft maple trees. Today I plan to get out my little tractor, and then drive around picking up tree branches. I already have a good pile of tree branches, and this will make my pile larger. Eventually I'm going to have to get my gas powered wood chipper out, and turn this pile into mulch for my garden this summer.
LOL, I can picture your cats looking out the window at a plastic bag.

(43,047 posts)I can see how that would fascinate them. It has me thinking about blowing a plastic bag around for my cat with the hairdryer.
As far as the winds go, you sure arent the only one. You should see my bamboo forest: so many poles were broken. Its going to be a huge job to have them cut and pulled out of the forest. Fortunately its spring and people want bamboo poles for building trellises for their gardens. I will put a notice on craigslist and most of them will disappear from a stack Ill have put at the end of the private road.
Avocado toast on 9 seed whole wheat. Cherry tomatoes with garlic, olive oil, and basil. Kombucha.

(43,047 posts)Are good for that. I also like to use those heavy steel rods cant think of the name because they are heavy and are more easily driven into the ground.
Tomato cages are the way to go, as opposed to mere staking.
