Ingredients
I only had one filet. & I marinated the salmon for about an hour
▢4 salmon fillets-
▢3 tablespoons miso paste
▢1-2 tablespoons brown sugar
▢1 tablespoon soy sauce
▢½ tablespoon
▢1½ tablespoons
For Garnish (optional)
▢1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
▢chopped green onion/scallion
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Position an oven rack in the center of the oven and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment for easy cleanup.
Make the Miso Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together miso paste, brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and mirin until smooth. Taste and adjust the sweetness if needed.
Bake first. Place salmon fillets on the baking sheet, skin-side down. Brush generously with the miso glaze (reserve a little for later). Bake at 400°F for 6-8 minutes.
Broil to finish. Switch the oven to broil (high). Brush the salmon with the remaining glaze and broil for 4-6 minutes, just until the top is caramelized and slightly charred.
Serve. Pull the salmon when the internal temp hits 120125°F for medium or 130°F for well-done but still moist. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
La Coliniere
(1,977 posts)Steam-fried in evoo and veggie broth: chopped onion, red bell pepper, sliced carrots and mushrooms, broccoli florets, minced garlic and ginger. When done I added black beans and garlic sauce. Separately, I steamed veggie dumplings and they were served along with the steam-fried vegetables. Chopped scallions on top after plating. Cheers!🥂
