I saved my vacation all year and used it this month. Here is my project (start the finish on it tomorrow):

there will be glass on the top and on the shelf:

8. the wood is #1 pine...

it was shaped/carved on a machine very similar to this:

13. Is that your own machine?

I've see those desktop CNC machines in the woodworking stores and/or Sears. They're not cheap. I was wondering if they can turn out a project like that.

14. That specific machine in the video is not mine, but i own one just like it.

I would not suggest the style that sears or other woodworking stores sell...at least the ones i have seen.

I kinda figured those store machines probably weren't good for much.

4. The leg supports - did you bend the wood? Also...

what color will you stain it? Will you use clear or stained glass for the top?

9. no, the shelf was carved fron a piece of pine...

i will use clear glass.

18. Are you going to cut and finish the glass yourself?

That looks like it would be a tricky task what with the detail in the outline for the top.

19. no, i had it cut at a local glass place...

i just brought the 2 pieces in before the finishing and had them cut the pieces.
