This morning sardines in oil with dry dog food, they still tasted great after I burped in the old mans face.

(9,608 posts)I admire Duncs taste. I eat two cans every breakfast, but in water, and no salt added. Oatmeal instead of kibble.

(4,158 posts)My 12 year old with CHF can't have them anymore because of the sodium content, but every now and then I'll share some of the oil they're packed in. All three dogs get a look of utter desperation in their eyes when they smell I've cracked open a can of sardines.

We are all too familiar with doggie sardine breath!!
I thought I heard there is a sardine shortage? The no salt water packed ones are getting harder to find.
