Related: About this forumDoes anybody here use Scoop Away litter?
I have always used Fresh Step, Unscented and Multi-Cat, both of which the cats and I like. I think they both cover up odors very well. I tried Clean Paws once and it didn't cover up the odor at all. It was horrible.
Costco sells Scoop Away at a much better price than Fresh Step and since the cats go through so much litter these days, I was wondering if I should switch. If anyone uses Scoop Away, is it good? Does it cover up the odor? I know cats don't like change and I don't want to buy litter they wouldn't want to use. Any advice for me? Thank you in advance.

that always works well with my cats (I used both the pricier brand and the cheaper HEB brand)

(3,125 posts)Last time I got it from Petsmart, the package was smaller: it was 38 lbs. with four 9.5 lb. bags and cost $3.00 more. So I paid more for less litter. It"s cheaper on Petsmart's website than in the store and they have 20% off sales online all the time. So I order it online and pick it up at the store. I usually buy two packages at a time and have someone from the store put it in my car. Then when I get home I take the smaller bags out and carry them in the house two at a time. Chewy still has the 42 lbs. packages but they cost more and then there's shipping to pay on top of it.
I think I'm going to try the Scoop Away. I'll probably mix it with the Fresh Step I still have or put Fresh Step in one box and Scoop Away in another and see what happens.
These days I have to cut corners any way I can but I don't want my cats to suffer for it. Thank you, chia!

which I get at Menards (a big-box hardware store, in case theres not one in your neighborhood). Im happy with the results, as odor is low. Works best with at least 2 depth. If liquid seeps to the pan and spreads out, clumping becomes abysmally terrible.
