8. Ty! Is it "normal" to feel guilty?

Grandson & I both feel a bit likd qpukes for forcing his destiny & manipulating with food. We feel we betrayed his trust.

I know, for his own good, but still.

We're reflecting on these feelings.

Feral is still out there. Only have 1 trap. Hoping rescue lady returns with 2nd trap today or tomorrow for this sweet little guy's feral brother.

This one is just over 4 yrs old.

3 newborn kits showed up in my back yard just after I bought this house.

I was beyond shocked tbh. I'd never lived anywhere with homeless cats!

I know it's for his best future & if he will adapt to living indoors, he will be very much adored & very well fed.

Same though, if he will not stay in. I've always had a great relationship with him.

Hoping to trap his bro & get him snipped.

6. Kind of a funny story for you.

When I lived in Ohio, trumpy guy across the street had an intact cat that terrorized the block. My cat was an inside cat so not a lot of problems for me. Had a wonderful lady that was his next-door neighbor that finally got tired of the whole thing and trapped the tom and took him to the vet.
The guy never knew about it. I started seeing old Tom sleeping a lot in his drive way and mentioned it to her. She told not to tell anyone what she had done and them we both had a good giggle.

He is such a little love. Even terrified when trapped, he allowed us to pet him through trap bars.

His brother is 100% feral. I would not even try with him but, of course, once trapped & vetted, I will continue to feed him generously.

Rescue lady said once neutered, he will be a little purr ball indoors.

She has done this for manh years, so I'm very hopeful.

Whether senior rescue queen of the world will allow another cat is my concern.

22. Well, you know the drill on introducing

a new cat, right? Keep them separate but able to smell each other and maybe see each other without touching. Gradual introduction. Lots of attention to the queen so she doesn't feel neglected in the face of a newcomer.

28. Congratulations! Neutering is so essential when caring for outdoor cats. Feeding ferals helps

them get by, but ending overpopulation is solving the root of the problem. Wishing you success with these kitties; they are lucky you are caring for them.
