You did a late split or something?

I had one of my hives I thought was queenless. I ordered a saskatraz queen from lappes bee farm in iowa. It took a week to get here... when it did i opened that hive and eggs were everywhere i guess they superceded and it took her a few weeks to start laying. So I stole some capped brood from a different hive and started the new queen in her own they are just now taking off but its getting late i think to split like that especially if your queens not mated yet as this one was.
