Any idea what county Cardinal Dolan's people come from?

I read (can't find link) that he said he was doing a genealogy search on his surname and what he saw horrified/embarrassed him so much he stopped looking.

I have been wondering what the heck he saw?

My own surname is the same as his and I know I have relatives who were IRA men - do you think that was what spooked him?

In fact the possibilities are nigh endless.

But you do have me curious about Dolan. I have no idea what the cardinal saw, but here's the surname link from the Irish Times:

For some reason I think its something political/IRA related.
