the heart remains sure filled in needs love and hope
innocence is forever seeking ignorance to be enraged
dreams that cannot be killed desire is an exotic dope
unclear and cloudy as eyes see what was not what is
wishful sights of beauty pure hold the edge of vision
time is not allowed to realize to accept a loss of bliss
the body continues to endure the mind in indecision
dull deaf and ringing through the day and the night
sound has much less promise the more music wants
echoes of past voices ensue of no pleasure nor fright
lips still remember the kiss from memory that haunts
having descended into evil as all around remains true
with no chance of reprieval and death clearly in view
