It was a great game. Unfortunately my team came up five yards short in overtime, plus a muffed punt that gave them the TD opportunity. But that's the way it goes, only one team gets to win.

5. KC played some dumb moves though

I was surprised that they pulled it off.
SF showed themselves to be very good.

7. SF was the better team on paper

and they dominated in the first half, except that McCaffrey fumbled on their first drive, plus they didn't capitalize on two turnovers. They let the Cheifs hang around in the third quarter, and a missed extra point and a punt fumble let them back the game. You can't make mistakes like that and win against Mahomes. And also, the defense didn't play the same after Greenlaw went down the way he did.

All that is part of the game, though. Even though they only came five yards short of winning it, they didn't.

10. They were certainly the better team on offense.

They had the weaponry like no other team in the league. But Kansas City played some stout defense, some first-half lapses notwithstanding. My hat's off to the '9ers--they were certainly worthy opponents! Kansas City just found enough ways to win.
