It’s early February and Oregon’s ski season should be hitting its stride, but across the state lack of snow and warm temperatures are leading to an anemic snowpack and a disappointing ski season.

Oregon, and many other states, are in what the federal government has deemed a “snow drought.”

Now, another ski resort has suspended operations and it’s unclear when it will reopen.

Skibowl on Mount Hood announced over the weekend that after Sunday night, ski operations would close down “due to current snow and weather conditions.”
