Putting it concisely, if you like Sam Raimi's work you'll definitely like it. As you pointed out, the first half hour is set up -character building. After that, the movie takes off -which is ironic since it begins with a crash.

Four out of five seems a pretty accurate rating.

I thought it was quite entertaining. Not great, but worth watching. Hence, the 4 stars.
