No ideas, no skills: Maddow rips panicking Trump for rushing to military last resort in L.A. - Rachel Maddow - MSNBC

Rachel Maddow points out that the most important story of our era is not what Donald Trump is trying to do, but what the American people will allow him to do. Maddow notes that pushback works against Trump's authoritarian overreach, and the fact that Trump skipped ahead to the last resort of calling in the military against protesters in Los Angeles is a sign of his weakness, his lack of ideas, and his lack of political skills to turn his plummeting popularity around. - Aired on 06/09/2025.

While banging him for lack of competence/ideas/etc is true and fine, it might be better RockRaven 21 hrs ago #1
Agreed, he's learned from his first term not to choose anyone that doesn't agree with him 100% of the time Rhiannon12866 6 hrs ago #2

if someone he was going to hear/watch (and admittedly that's not Maddow, unless second- or third-hand) would bang the lack of competence/ideas of his advisors. He's not going to change or admit his own faults, but he might dump an asshole here or there if he can blame them for a debacle instead of himself. Might as well prompt the blame game.
