Ben & Jerry’s isn’t just known for ice cream, but also its support for social causes. With over $1 billion in sales last year, it’s an asset for its owner Magnum. So why has one of its founders quit and the other launched a campaign to make Ben & Jerry's independent? Bloomberg’s Akshat Rathi sits down with co-founder Ben Cohen to ask about the Free Ben & Jerry’s campaign, why businesses should pursue social causes, and the future of ice cream on a warming planet.

1. Ben, you sold your soul to Megacorp. You're no better than a MAGAt who has finally seen the light.

Besides, you charged premium prices so you could "donate" other's money and claim you were doing good. Anyone can do that. Charge 20% more and say you're giving 15% to charity so people think better of you for donating some of the extra.
You will never convince me. Only difference between you and the end of the Nineteenth Century "Philanthropists" is they kept it for themselves until they end of their lives then gave it away. And gangsters like Capone ran soup kitchens for the poor as ge was siphoning off their beer money. A pox on all of you.
