Fulton County STRIKES BACK Against Trump's DESPERATE Election PLOT - Legal AF
Attorneys Brian Kabateck and Shant Karnikian break down the DOJ's grand jury subpoena demanding the names, home addresses, phone numbers, and emails of every person who worked the 2020 election in Fulton County, Georgia, from county employees to volunteer poll workers to bus drivers.
The subpoena was initiated by Dan Bishop, the Trump-allied U.S. Attorney whom Pam Bondi tapped to pursue election probes before she was fired. This comes months after the FBI raided a Fulton County elections warehouse and seized 700 boxes of ballots. Fulton County filed a motion to quash, calling it "the latest effort to target and harass the President's perceived political enemies."
Their attorneys, including prominent defense lawyer Abbe Lowell, argue the statute of limitations on any 2020 election crime has expired, the subpoena is overbroad and untethered to any prosecutable case, and that handing over personal information would threaten the First Amendment rights and physical safety of election workers.
Brian and Shant point out the subpoena doesn't even direct the records to the grand jury but to an out-of-state DOJ prosecutor and the same FBI agent behind the January raid. About a third of election officials nationwide now report being threatened on the job. Fulton County Commission Chairman Robb Pitts was blunt: "Let me be crystal clear. Fulton County will not be intimidated." - 05/12/2026.
