(1,851 posts)and I agree with much of what he says. The issue I have with this whole contretemps is how he went about it. The position he applied for was one of neutrality and support in the party. To take that position with the intention of disregarding the neutrality inherent in the position and to begin to campaign against people he was supposed to be supporting is where I become opposed to his position. I agree with him on many of these issues and I think he can pursue them more assiduously from outside the DNC, and I believe he should. Wholeheartedly, just not from a position where it is his responsibility to assist and support those with whom he disagreed. It was a position he applied for, if he did not intend to respect the tenets of the position he ought not to have pursued it. As an independent actor from outside, I think he should pursue his goals to his utmost - in the end, it will benefit the party more than the status quo ever would.
