We still haven't found our footing as a party. Models based on past system behavior are of limited value in the current climate. The system is vastly different now from it was in previous times.

As with the previous shutdown, when Schumer saved us from ourselves, the new shutdown will just be another subject for Trump to riff on and to use to distract.
