But if you look at it from the military point of view it's about a set of values and principles that guide soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, and guardians towards a common goal. According to the Army, Warrior Ethos is:
I will always place the mission first.
I will never accept defeat.
I will never quit.
I will never leave a fallen comrade.

In the Air Force and Space Force, it's:
Understand the Profession of Arms
Exemplify Discipline
Demonstrate Moral Character
Demonstrate Courage

The other branches of the military have similar ethos.

Why Hegseth is calling all the flag officers together is anyone's guess but most likely to explain his view of what Warrior's Ethos is. It would make more sense if the ethos is developed by the professional military leaders of each of the branches of the military.
