I saw a Black person on Twitter say that Black people are poor tippers because it's a residue of slavery. I never heard anything like that. I lived with a Black family for six months and would go out to eat with them. They always tipped and tipped quite well (25% +). In fact, the patriarch was aware of all the tropes and actively defied them. He would tip large, listen to country music, and hunt.
