Princess Anne had 2002 criminal conviction when her dog, Dotty, bit two boys (aged 7 and 12) on Easter Monday 2002. She was the first of the modern royal family to have a criminal record.

Only the reigning monarch is immune from criminal prosecution. Sovereign immunity is for the king and queen.

But their political immunity goes a long long way.
