Based on reports from early 2026, Iranian state media and officials affiliated with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei have issued direct threats against Donald Trump, including imagery specifically referencing the 2024 assassination attempt and stating that a future attempt "will not miss the target".
