We don't know what he'll do, because he's so erratic, so impulsive. He's also a sadist. He could easily throw a wrench in Don Jr's "ambition" to be "the heir to the throne" just because it's the kind of act of cruelty that he'd find appealing.
I remember a TV show during George W Bush's second term that included Lynne Cheney and Barbara Bush. Lynne just didn't "get it" at all. People didn't call her husband "Evil Dick Cheney" out of affection. They did it because they thought he had a truly black heart. And she told Laura Bush that if people "really wanted a Bush dynasty," she should run for president.
And if history has shown us anything, it's that America really didn't want a Bush dynasty.
Ellison's son David really seems like a George W Bush idiot type of nepo baby. Once daddy's money buys all of the shiny broadcast channels for him, it will be his empire to screw up. The only thing that's kept CNN from completely going into the toilet as Warner Discovery CEO David Zaslav and his radical right billionaire boy pal John Malone call the shots is that while they have demanded a swing to the right...while they do traffic in "whataboutism" and have far too many Republican guests for a channel that isn't Fox...they still PRETEND that they are the same CNN that existed before Zaslav and Malone got the keys to the car.
David Ellison installed a creepy little "opinion blogger" who is far too reminiscent of Aileen Cannon as the head of CBS news, and she propped up Katy Tur's MAGAt husband as the network's "star anchor," and we see what happened to the ratings as a result.
Murdoch found a disgusting but "winning" formula for Fox. I'm gonna be shocked it Ellison "succeeds" by doing nothing more than replicating Murdoch's formula. OR the formula of Zaslav & Malone, on a more MAGAt-y scale, because even with the changes at CNN, Trump STILL yells about them for not kissing his ass enough.
