but I still see no evidence that Chomsky ever participated in any improper conduct or that he knew of the extent of Epstein's crimes.

Epstein traded in contacts and favors under the guise of friendship. He went out of his way to cultivate interesting or important people from all walks of life, partly because he was able to them use them as lures for other important people – e.g., inviting someone to dinner and mentioning that Chomsky or Stephen Hawking or some other figure would also be there.

I don't believe in guilt by association.
