of hero-worshipers going on about how that person should be our candidate for POTUS. It is lazy, annoying and pretty naive.

You hit the nail on the head "People are so anxious to have a charismatic candidate they often don't even care if they're qualified!"

Good DEM candidates tend to be well rounded, well versed in the issues facing the nation, and possessed of resumes showing a variety of experiences that build into a career that holds up qualifications and demonstrates temperament, judgement, and common sense. Then have to be team builders, able to draw good people with specialized knowledge and skills to cover ALL the departments of the executive branch, and they have to be comfortable enough to trust the experts they appoint.

Grasping at the latest clever pundit isn't gonna give us that candidate.

Ignoring those necessary qualifications and going for someone who says what people want to hear is how the GOP ended up with the worst president this nation has ever been saddled with.
