Bondi could be well aware that she does or does not have her big-shot job unless either she remains in good standing with him OR she has such “goods” on him that he dares not try to fuck with her.

Considering the kind of people we’re dealing with, these days, I’d strongly suspect the worst from every last one of ‘em.
