Catholics do not attend Mass on Good Friday -there is no Mass on Good Friday and we make the Stations of the Cross instead. And Protestants customarily do have a Good Friday service. I grew up Catholic, and sang in some Protestant church choirs as a young adult, so I can speak to this with some knowledge.

But yeah, it’s not a good look.
