Growing up around quite a few of the more conservative Christian denominations, I believe he may have just torpedoed himself with a lot of folks.

You can get away with a lot of claims, leaning heavily on the Good Book and charisma. But claiming you are Him is a big no-no, in any form. Claim you can heal, claim you can hear Him... Hell, you can claim to play golf with Him. Just don't even hint you're the Guy.

Once doubt is planted with any People of Faith, the doors can close pretty hard.

You'll definitely see a wheat from the chaff sorta thing go on locally, as people split up trying to wrap their head around mutually exclusive options. They'll pick one or the other, and you'll know who is deceived.

So, a net good. Remember, Easter season isn't done yet. Still a few miracles to go before the final act.
