Trump and the Doordash grandma................ [View all]

BREAKING: Trump's McDonald's DoorDash stunt ends in HUMILIATION as he tries to get a delivery woman to agree with him on transgender hatred — and she bluntly refuses on camera.

This is an all-time MAGA face-plant...

"We should call it the Great Big Beautiful Tax Cut Bill, because it's a tremendous amounts of money," Trump said while holding bags of food and standing beside a delivery woman wearing a "DoorDash Grandma" t-shirt.

Reporters had been summoned to witness the delivery of Trump's McDonald's order so that he could manufacture a PR event for his disastrous "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" which includes a section that allows some workers to deduct a portion of tipped income from their taxes. It's a small part of a bill whose main objectives were massive tax cuts for the rich and gutting the social safety net, including $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid.

"And that's overtime, that's also on Social Security, as you know," Trump added.

"Yes," the woman said.

"And it's pretty amazing," said Trump.

"Yes, it is," she agreed.

"Well, you're really nice," said Trump. "Would you like to do a little news conference with me and these people? These are not the nicest people. They're not nice like you. You know that, right?"

"I'll do whatever you ask me to do, sir," said the woman.

"So the no tax on tips is something special, right?" Trump continued.

"It's very special," she said.

"And that's one that really pertains to you more than anything else," said Trump.

"Yes, sir," she said.

"That's fantastic. It's such an honor to meet you. And I think you voted for me, do you think?" asked Trump, putting her on the spot.

"Uh. Maybe," said the woman.

"I heard you're a great supporter. We appreciate it. Thank you," said Trump.

Trump then proceeded with the impromptu press conference, which quickly went off the rails when he began ranting about one of his favorite topics.

"They want to have men playing in women's sports. Do you think that men should play in women's sports?" Trump asked, turning suddenly to the DoorDash worker.

"I really don't have an opinion on that," the woman said bluntly.

"I'll bet you do. I'll bet you do," said Trump, awkwardly swinging his hips from side to side, suddenly uncomfortable.

"No. No. I'm here about the tax on tips," said the woman.

"Yeah? Okay," said a defeated Trump.

The woman's refusal to demonize trans people just because the president asked her to on camera should be commended. Regardless of what her political beliefs are, that took courage.

More broadly, this moment offers a perfect distillation of the MAGA movement. While average Americans are worried about their finances and making ends meet, Trump is trying to distract them with hateful culture war nonsense. Clearly, it's no longer working.
