Has Congress ever simplified anything? So many worksheets, booklets of instructions. Special forms for partnerships, depreciation. Bean counting must sap 8% or more of the US economy. Has the IRS ever surveyed or issued statistics on what it costs people, on average, at various income brackets to pay to file? Businesses often use a CPA. I only consulted H&R Block once. Cost me $125 for one page.
