(38,182 posts)Bought a new Honda C-Rv.
Worked for the Big 3 for 30 years and always bought my companys cars.
After reading the reviews, I settled on the Honda. One look under the hood sold me. I could look down on the motor and still see the ground. Cant do that on my companys cars. There is room to get to any part that needs attention. On American cars it can now cost a fortune to change a light bulb. You have to drop the bumper to remove 10 other parts to get to a light bulb .
Should be the last car Ill buy at my age.
Its gas, but I no longer drive that much anymore.
Got my wife a Prius a few years ago and its been great. She now drives a lot more than I do. She will save a lot on gas. But its a little too small for me to get into.
With my fading memory, Im hooked on the navigation system.
Just sunk a lot of money into a whole new brake system for my 26 year old van. Dont use it that much, but I can still haul large items and go camping in it. Had a new certified used motor installed a couple of years ago, tranny gone through and new tires on it. Should last a long time, plus be there when I need it.
Good part about the Honda is it was assembled in Windsor Canada and 90 percent of the parts are made in the USA. More than the parts for American cars have.
