One can imagine the meeting Trump had with a few of his favorite House toadies:
"It's pretty obvious we are not going to win the next election at the polls. If we want to stay in power, we will have to steal it. Can I depend on you guys like we did in 2020?"
"What would you suggest, Mr President?"
"We will start with California. We will accuse them of rigging the election, especially if our people do not win any of their races. The Democrats cannot win without California. Just let me handle it."
"What do you want us to do, Mr President?"
"Just say that the election in California looks shady. It may be rigged. I will take it from there."
