It is more important to have an anti-Trump Democrat in the Senate, than in the AG's office. They confirm judges as well as need to advise and consent on policy. Having the majority in the Senate gives the party chairs of every committee and subpoena power,

As far as the similarities of the states, Harris won both by similar margins. Of course, both contests are different, but I can see a bluer atmosphere in 2026 than in 2025.
