not be swayed to change their votes.

Trump formally nominated Blanche on Monday.
Blanche’s next step is to submit paperwork to the Senate Judiciary Committee, which requires financial disclosures, an FBI background check and a completed questionnaire.

The Senate Judiciary Committee can only schedule Blanche’s confirmation hearing 28 days after he’s turned in all paperwork. And since Blanche could submit those documents soon, given that he went through the confirmation process as deputy AG just last year, the earliest date Committee Chair Chuck Grassley (R-IA) could schedule a hearing is likely mid-July. The fastest timeline from then would involve a committee vote around the end of July, with a floor vote right before the Senate leaves town for August recess.

That's only if things go according to Senate GOP leaders’ plans without further holdups.

Because, since Democrats say they’ll oppose Blanche’s nomination, the Comte only needs one Republican “no” vote to sink it.

12 Republicans on the Committee: Chair Chuck Grassley (R-IA) Lindsey Graham, John Cornyn, Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Thom Tillis, John Kennedy, Marsha Blackburn, Eric Schmitt, Katie Britt, and Ashley Moody.
10 Democrats: Dick Durbin, Sheldon Whitehouse, Amy Klobuchar, Chris Coons, Richard Blumenthal, Mazie Hirono, Cory Booker, Alex Padilla, Peter Welch, and Adam Schiff.

IDK which Republican might make clear they’ll derail Blanche’s confirmation, but if they do, it will get headlines. After that, idk if Grassley (on his way out) might or might not push the process forward.

Then I can only guess we're left with what Trump does with or through the DOJ before the midterms.
