Second question, maybe.

Cornyn's been highly critical of the administration's controversial DOJ fund, established to settle lawsuits brought by Trump and his allies. Cornyn labeled the fund a "terrible idea" and indicated he has probing questions for Blanche regarding his role in its creation. Since Cornyn lost his Texas primary bid, he has more political freedom to press Trump's nominees without loyalty concerns. With Republicans holding a narrow majority on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Cornyn’s vote—along with other uncommitted Republicans—could be pivotal.

Third question, no. There will be no surprises from our SJC Democrats.
