has tried to kill the person saying it“ is not true at all. The reason we have so many Christians now is because the Holy Roman Empire was led by Constantine, who converted himself and required everyone under his rule to convert, also. Constantine didn’t embrace Jesus’ message, per se, but it’s intellectually lazy to claim that all empires seek to kill Christianity when Christianity itself was embraced and spread by empire.
