Roger Stone had the time of his life, while Al hung out on Norm Ornsteins couch wondering wtf had just happened. If you ever get the chance to spend any time with him, mplease do, and then tell me if this is someone even remotely capable of that kind of behavior. Gillibrands enough is enough was particularly galling, as there wasnt any, much less enough. Franni would never put up with that, and she knows Al better than anyone, probably including Al. I think shes wonderful, but the Great Spirit help me if I ever get on her bad side.
I think your article was dead on with their description of piling on Al as a stampede. That is exactly what it was, perfectly coordinated by Roger Stone, who even crowed about it before he even got started! Its going to be Al Frankens time in the barrel or some similar phrase. Stone must have laughed his head off when his scheme actually grew Requests for money from those Senators go into my trash unless I know they have apologized to Al. Im sure some wanted to but were too embarrassed. Some, Sheldon Whitehouse e.g., did apologize, admitting they got caught up in the stampede. At least none of the five who tried for the 2020 presidential, i.e. Harris, Sanders, Warren, Booker or Gillibrand, never got anywhere near the presidential nomination in 2020, and probably wont in 2028, either.
