It's nice to think that we can still do the things we did in the past, like skipping the last step when going down the stairs or taking a shortcut over a fallen log or fence. But we've learned not to do those things anymore. The risks are too high. If you saw the video of how the arm of Senator Padilla was wretched behind his back while they handcuffed him, you may have thought about how much that would hurt. The same thing with how the shorter, younger man used a pinching grip under his arms. That is a very painful move and anyone knowing how to administer it knows that and has to do it deliberately.
