(441 posts)36. A 3 inch wide solid gold coin?
Surely it's just gold plated, probably silver, right? Cause, I think, that big a coin would have to be at least 3 or 4 oz, and in solid gold the stupid thing could easily run 20k or more.
Editing to add, a quick search makes me think it would be closer to 8oz, so more like 40k.

I kind of agree. It needs to be far too large and bulky for one person to carry let alone use as currency.
