Pretty sure if one of my longest time (30 yrs up till '09 ) very liberal friends who's Jewish was still alive [eff cancer!]; she'd have been appalled at what Netanyahu has done.
As someone growing up in a 2/3rds Jewish neighborhood in NYC in the '60s The Holocaust was a silent, grim atmosphere. And also became aware of Anti-semetism in general. There's certainly non Southern, or non- Christian bigots out there, as well.
And drumphf maybe has brought out more anti-semetism, as well, becsuse he's such a hideous bigot in general!
I always supported Israel, but I don't support Netanyahu - not after he was part of the Israeli RW atmosphere that helped get Rabin assassinated! Plus the more recent wanton destruction, and theft of Palestinian homes, olive trees and more in the West Bank by certain Israeli Jews, and seemingly American Jews who moved there, too!
I'd say on the Far Left there's probably some anti-semitism. Still, waaay more on The Right! I think accusing Democratic politicians is an over reach.
So, yeah, please do not equate unless a series of other posts seem to indiicate bigotry - dissing on Bibi to equal anti-Israel, or anti-semitism sentiments in general.
