I actually saw it on Broadway in 2005. It starred Alan Alda; Jeffrey Tambor; Liev Schreiber (who won a Tony award for Best Featured Actor in a Play for his portrayal of Ricky Roma); Gordon Clapp; Tom Wopat; and Frederick Weller. The part Alec Baldwin played in the film was written specifically for him and was not in the play.
