1. I tried to walk along the Glacier Point road in a freak May snowstorm

Monday

There was 2-4 feet of new snow everywhere and the roads were closed if you didn't have 4-wheel drive or chains. Fortunately I rented a small SUV at the airport so I could go up there. Virtually deserted!

(Had to turn around on the hike along the trail since I wasn't wearing winter clothing.)
