But nationwide there is such limited understanding of all issues transgender, that even in bright blue Colorado, the R party (that has all but been dismantled due to their own corruption & incompetence) feels emboldened to run on these two ballot initiatives. There has not been an educational campaign anywhere (that I have seen) to counter this. Yes, the sports team inclusion/exclusion initiative is a "solution" looking for a problem that does not exist, but that doesn't matter. And as to the transgender surgical care bill, all proponents have to stress is that those affected are MINORS and those considering will think/focus on that they are protecting children. Not just among R's/MAGA but independents and quite a few progressive Dems I' encountered. This is what happens when R memes are met with little to zero counter educational campaigns.

These memes are not only poisonous, but I have to say, quite effective for many. Even in bright blue Colorado.
