1. I really hate to see this, but I believe the amendment will pass.

I put it right now in the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" category. And I'll tell you why... it's NOT that I have complete trust in that 9 member Nominating Commission... but I DO have more trust in it than I have in the republicans in this state. They're too easily swayed by lies and promises that never come to pass, but are never shown to be the lies they started out straight from the start. With a state full of magats, WHY would anyone want to hand over selection vs election of justices? Because the Archdiocese can't win their anti-abortion agenda any other way. But they CAN turn out the maga catholics. Since trying the first time to outlaw abortion, they've tried 2 to 3 other times in different ways, but they still can't make progress. They may think this is their golden boat, but I believe KS people will say "NO" to anti-abortion stances even now. Unfortunately, they will probably pick it to death. And, in the meantime, things that don't have massive appeal will slip through the soon-to-be-total maga court, just like our country's very own SCOTUS. Jesus wept, people... and I weep for my state heading down to levels even the Brownback admin couldn't achieve, thanks to the court it had.
