title-Ohio Republicans are rage-baiting over Medicaid fraud, but they’ve run the program since 2011

snip-"Vivek Ramaswamy and a chorus of Ohio Republicans took to the stage to sound the alarm about Medicaid fraud, leaning heavily on a report claiming that Medicaid payments were flowing through clusters of home health care companies operating out of the same Columbus addresses."

snip-"First, the Republicans have no actual evidence of fraud. They have questions about how payments were handled. Host Courtney Astolfi said data identifies where Medicaid money went, but it doesn’t confirm whether services were actually provided in exchange for those payments, whether false claims were filed, or whether any money was improperly pocketed."

snip-"Some of the flagged companies are fiscal intermediaries — centralized paperwork processors that handle payroll for caregivers across the state, including family members caring for relatives at home. Big payments flowing through one address can look suspicious on the surface, but they might be explained without fraud. What Republicans have are questions that need answers."

snip-"If there’s Medicaid fraud, it is 100 percent default of the Republican elected leaders,” who Quinn[podcast host Chris Quinn not a gov't official] said have been in charge of the state for 16 years, run the Medicaid office and send out the checks. “So for them to stand there and make a political issue out of it -- it’s their fault. This is their scandal. If it’s a scandal.”
