Current price of fuel in the United States. [View all]

The national average for gasoline is getting close to $5 a gallon. That's about a 33% rise in the last month.
But diesel is up even more, around 40% in the last month.

The state map is quite revealing. The south and upper mid-west are better off than the far west by quite a bit.

My state, New York, is a little below the national average, but my town is just about right on the national average.
