2. Does anyone know how bargaining is going to be implemented?

From my understanding from a previous post, each congress person is now allocated a set amount of $950k and is allowed 18 full time and 4 part time staffers. Once the unionization takes place, is that provision eliminated?

Speaker Pelosi has indicated that the minimum salary will be $45k. Could an AOC, for example, agree in bargaining to pay their staff double that, or $90k a year, and also pay off all their student loans ? Can the union bargain for more staffers ?

Would the House then be required to allocate them the additional funds by passing another appropriations bill?
