Park ranger kicks family off San Diego area beach for allowing kids to harass sea lions

2. Kudos to the ranger. Shame on the dumbass parents.

There are a couple of man made ponds in our neighborhood, and there are prominent signs forbidding fishing. All summer long I see parents and kids, most of whom are old enough to read, fishing in them, sometimes standing right next to the signs. As a parent, how do you explain that blatant disregard of the rules to your kids?
