If he was born in 1881 and died in 1913, he would have been around 32.
Also, if he had been born in 1881, he could not have married Miss Lora Ann in 1857.
Now if he had been born in 1831, then everything would make sense. Or if he was born in 1881, and died in 1963, that would also make sense. If his birth had occurred on the later date, his marriage to Miss Lora Ann would have occurred about 1907.
Looking at it again, it seems whoever wrote or printed the original obituary for the paper made the typo of the birthdate.
